Jesus and Spiritual Healing Were Never Meant to Be in Opposition

Over the years, I have been rejected, judged, and feared by Christians who believed the work I do could not possibly come from God. Some were concerned for me. Others warned people against me. A few seemed convinced that communicating with angels, receiving messages from God, or offering spiritual healing automatically placed me in opposition to Jesus.

Those experiences have been painful, not because everyone must agree with me or understand my work, but because I have never viewed myself as competing with Jesus. I have never sought to replace him, diminish his importance, or draw anyone away from God. My life has been devoted to serving God, helping people heal, clearing what interferes with their spiritual growth, and encouraging them to deepen their relationship with the Divine.

Recently, I received a message from God that brought clarity to this long-standing conflict:

“You and Jesus were never to be pitted against each other.

It is a shame that there are some teachings that preclude outside help other than his.”

The message immediately touched something within me because it named what I had experienced for so many years. Jesus and I were never on opposing sides. That division grew from teachings that convinced people that accepting spiritual help from anyone other than Jesus was dangerous, forbidden, or disloyal.

When Devotion Becomes Exclusion

Loving Jesus, following his teachings, or seeking his help is not wrong. His message of love, forgiveness, healing, compassion, and relationship with God has transformed countless lives. The difficulty arises when devotion becomes exclusion, causing people to believe that God cannot work through anyone else.

Some Christians have been taught that all spiritual assistance outside an accepted religious framework must come from darkness. People may view communication with angels with suspicion. Spiritual healing can be considered dangerous. Direct guidance from God may be dismissed unless it arrives through a familiar or approved source.

Such teachings often come from a desire to protect people, but they can also create fear that prevents sincere discernment. Rather than asking whether something produces love, healing, freedom, responsibility, truth, and a closer relationship with God, people may reject it immediately because it does not fit within the boundaries they were given.

Fear then replaces curiosity. Judgment replaces understanding. Condemnation can replace genuine spiritual inquiry.

For those on the receiving end, that rejection can be deeply painful. When your heart is devoted to God and your work is meant to help others, being told you are dangerous, deceived, or serving darkness can leave wounds that are hard to explain.

Jesus Was Never My Competition

I do not see Jesus as my competition, nor would I ever presume to take his place. We each have our own purpose, just as every soul has a unique role within the greater divine plan.

Jesus came with a mission that transformed humanity's spiritual consciousness. His life and teachings revealed forgiveness, compassion, healing, sacrifice, divine love, and the potential for a direct relationship with God. His presence continues to help, guide, and inspire people worldwide.

At one point, I asked Jesus directly whether anything about my calling interfered with or opposed his purpose. I no longer remember the exact circumstances that led me to ask, but I remember his answer clearly. He told me that we were each part of God’s Plan A.

Those words stayed with me because they removed the idea that one of us had to be chosen over the other. Neither calling was an alternative plan, a replacement, or a response to something having gone wrong. Jesus had his purpose within God’s plan, and I had mine. Our work was never meant to cancel, compete with, or undermine the other. Each calling served a different need within a much larger divine design.

My calling takes a different form. Through individual sessions, I help people identify and clear spiritual, emotional, ancestral, and past-life influences that may be affecting their present circumstances. Yet the larger purpose of my calling has never been limited to helping one person at a time. I have also been called to address distortion and darkness on a broader scale, helping clear what interferes with greater truth, healing, cohesiveness, and divine alignment throughout the world.

Guidance may come through God, angels, ascended masters, or other beings of light, depending upon what is needed. Whether I am assisting an individual or participating in work that has a wider impact, my intention remains the same: to serve the highest and best, clear what stands in the way of God’s purposes, and remain aligned with the Divine.

Different roles do not have to compete. A physician and a minister may both help the same person in different ways, while a teacher, therapist, healer, friend, or family member may each offer something valuable without diminishing the others' contributions. Spiritual assistance can work in much the same way.

Accepting help from one source does not automatically mean rejecting another. God’s ability to reach us is not limited to a single voice, method, person, or institution.

God Has Always Worked Through People

Throughout history, people have received guidance through dreams, visions, angels, prophets, intuition, prayer, sacred encounters, and unexpected messengers. Help has often arrived in forms that challenged the beliefs and expectations of the time.

Even within the Bible, angels delivered messages, dreams carried warnings, prophets spoke on behalf of God, and ordinary people were called to fulfill extraordinary purposes. Divine assistance was never limited to one expression.

Why, then, would God suddenly become unable to work through another person?

The possibility that God may use healers, teachers, messengers, counselors, or spiritual guides does not diminish Jesus. It demonstrates the vastness of God’s love and the many ways help can reach people where they are.

One person may feel profoundly connected to Jesus. Another may experience God through nature. Someone else may receive comfort from an angel, wisdom through prayer, or healing through a gifted practitioner. The form may vary, yet the deeper measure remains the same.

Genuine help should lead a person toward greater love, truth, responsibility, healing, and freedom. It should strengthen their relationship with God rather than create fear, dependency, control, or separation.

Instead of judging a spiritual source by its label alone, we can look at the fruit it produces. Greater peace, clarity, compassion, integrity, and personal responsibility often reveal far more than appearances or assumptions ever could.

These considerations call for discernment rather than automatic acceptance, but they also ask us to move beyond automatic rejection.

Discernment Is Different From Fear

Not every spiritual message is accurate. Not every healer is trustworthy. Not every being claiming to represent the light is aligned with the highest good. I have spoken openly about the importance of discernment because opening spiritually is much like answering a telephone. You must learn to recognize who is on the other end.

True discernment observes the energy, intention, consequences, and integrity of what is being offered. It remains connected to God while evaluating whether something supports truth, healing, responsibility, and the highest good.

Fear operates differently. It often reaches a conclusion before understanding what is present, reacting from conditioning, inherited teachings, or the need to remain safe within a familiar belief system.

Rejecting everything unfamiliar may feel spiritually protective, but it can also close the door to the help God is trying to provide.

Unquestioningly accepting every spiritual claim is unwise, too. A balanced path requires openness, humility, grounded judgment, and an ongoing relationship with God.

The Cost of Religious Fear

When people are taught that God can only help them through one approved channel, they may refuse assistance that could relieve suffering, bring clarity, or restore hope. They may also fear their own intuition, spiritual gifts, dreams, or inner guidance.

Someone may feel the presence of an angel but suppress the experience because they were taught it must be dangerous. Another person may receive an intuitive warning but ignore it because it did not arrive in a recognized religious form. A gifted healer may spend years hiding their abilities out of fear that using them would betray God.

Religious fear can separate people not only from others, but also from aspects of themselves that God may be trying to awaken.

For me, the rejection I experienced reminded me how deeply these teachings can affect people. Many of those who judged me were not necessarily cruel. They were frightened. They believed they were protecting themselves, their families, their faith, or even me.

Understanding that does not erase the pain, but it helps me view the experience with compassion.

People can only interpret something through the consciousness, knowledge, and beliefs available to them at the time. When their spiritual framework leaves no room for God to work beyond a specific boundary, anything outside that boundary can feel threatening.

Making God Larger Than Our Teachings

Human beings create structures to help them understand God. Religions, traditions, scriptures, rituals, and teachings can provide valuable guidance, comfort, meaning, and community. Problems arise when the structure becomes more important than God's living presence.

The Divine cannot be contained within any single teaching.

Every institution has limits in defining how God may choose to communicate.

Human understanding will never encompass all the forms through which divine help may arrive.

God is greater than our interpretations, larger than our doctrines, and more creative than the limitations we place upon spiritual assistance.

Allowing for that possibility does not require anyone to abandon Jesus. It simply asks us to recognize that Jesus does not need to be used as a barrier between people and every other form of help.

His life demonstrated healing. His teachings encouraged love. His presence brought people closer to God. Any spiritual work genuinely aligned with those same qualities should be evaluated with wisdom, not condemned through fear alone.

We Were Never on Opposing Sides

God’s message helped me understand that I do not have to defend myself by diminishing Jesus, nor do Christians have to reject me in order to remain devoted to him.

There is room for both.

Jesus can fulfill his purpose, and I can fulfill mine. Angels can assist humanity. Healers can support transformation. Teachers can offer wisdom. Each person can develop a more direct relationship with God while still receiving help from others along the way.

The conflict was never necessary.

My hope is not that everyone will believe exactly as I do. Spiritual maturity does not require complete agreement. What matters is whether we can approach one another with enough openness to look beyond labels, examine the fruit of the work, and ask God for clarity rather than letting inherited fear drive every decision.

Perhaps the deeper invitation within this message is to stop making divine service into a competition.

God’s love is not scarce. Spiritual help is not a limited resource. One person’s calling does not invalidate another’s. Honoring Jesus does not require denying every other servant of God, and recognizing help through another source does not require rejecting him.

Jesus and I were never meant to be pitted against each other.

We were each part of God’s Plan A. We were always meant to serve God.
